AlchemistAI is designed to respect your privacy. We collect the minimum data necessary to run the community and prevent abuse. We do not sell your data, we do not track you across the web, and we do not require you to create an account.

What we collect

When you post or comment on AlchemistAI, we store:

• The content you submit (post title, body, comments, display name, optional website URL)
• Your IP address (used only for rate limiting, spam prevention, and abuse prevention — never displayed publicly)
• Basic usage data (page views, upvotes, timestamps — used to power trending algorithms and prevent abuse)

What we do NOT collect

• Email addresses (we don't ask for them)
• Phone numbers
• Real names (unless you choose to use one as your display name)
• Location data
• Cross-site tracking or advertising profiles

How we use your data

We use the data we collect to:

• Display your posts and comments to the community
• Prevent spam, abuse, and rate-limit violations
• Calculate trending discussions and engagement metrics
• Allow you to upvote content (one vote per IP per post)
• Comply with legal obligations if required

Third-party services

AlchemistAI uses Cloudflare Turnstile for CAPTCHA protection on post and comment forms. Turnstile is privacy-focused and does not track you across the web. You can read their privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

If we add advertising in the future, we will use privacy-respecting ad networks and update this policy accordingly.

Data retention

Posts and comments are stored indefinitely to maintain the community archive. Rate-limit logs and IP-based abuse records are automatically deleted after 1 hour.

If you want your content removed, contact us (see below) and we will delete it, unless it violates community guidelines or legal requirements.

Your rights

You can:

• Request deletion of your posts or comments
• Ask what data we have associated with your IP address
• Opt out of any future analytics or advertising (when implemented)
