Kling 1.6 temporal consistency fails on fast camera movements
I’ve been trying to generate a 5-second shot of a drone flying through a narrow canyon using Kling 1.6, but I’m hitting a wall with temporal consistency. The static shots look incredible, but the moment I add a fast dolly or pan, the geometry of the mountains warps and melts into each other. I’ve tried lowering the CFG scale to 4.5 and using the 'pro' mode, but it just makes the motion feel sluggish and doesn’t solve the morphing issue.
My prompt is fairly simple: "Cinematic drone shot, rapid forward motion through rocky canyon, golden hour lighting, 4k, high detail." I’ve also experimented with adding negative prompts like "distortion, warping, melting, inconsistent geometry," but that seems to over-constrain the model and make the video look like a slideshow.
Has anyone found a reliable workflow for maintaining structural integrity during high-velocity camera moves in Kling? I’m currently considering switching to Runway Gen-3 for these specific shots, but their motion control is also hit-or-miss. If you’re sticking with Kling, what specific phrasing or parameter tweaks have you used to prevent the background from dissolving during fast pans? I’d love to know if it’s a limitation of the current model version or if I’m just prompting incorrectly. I’m on a tight deadline for a short film project, so any advice on whether to invest time in fixing this or pivot to a different tool would be appreciated.
